Student Leadership Johns Creek Secretary of State Ambassadors

Secretary of State 2018-19 Ambassadors

Nine students from Student Leadership Johns Creek will represent Johns Creek as part of Secretary of State Brian Kemp’s Ambassadors Program. They will attend a kick-off with students from the metro Atlanta area on September 6th at the Georgia World Congress Center where they will be trained in how to register Georgians to vote.

The goal of the Secretary of State’s Ambassadors Program is to provide high school students an opportunity to engage as leaders within their school and community. Through this program, the students gain leadership experience by learning about and teaching Georgia civics to their peers, learning about voter registration, and promoting and encouraging other students and residents of Johns Creek to register to vote. The SLJC students work individually and as a team to create a dialogue that gets first-time  voters educated, excited, and engaged in the election process.

According to Secretary of State Kemp “This generation is the future of America. It is important that you and your friends become registered to vote to make sure your voice is represented in your government.”

The 2018-19 Student Leadership Johns Creek Secretary of State Ambassadors are: Aamir Khan, Amshu Chakagiri, Cherie Sang, David Hsi, Eliza Imhoff, Jenny Liu, Nikhita Joshi, Sid Balaga and Suraj Peramanu. Kriti Kothari, a 2017-18 Ambassador will serve as the team's assistant director.
