The Class of 2025 Green Team had a busy day yesterday for Government Day. We started the day off with Commissioner Bridget Thorne where the students learned more about Fulton County Government Day, we then went over to the Superior Court where Judge Rachelle Carnesale allowed the students to watch the My Journey Matters graduation. They also got to meet with Supreme Court Justice Shawn LaGrua. Next up was Liberty Plaza where we took our group photo with the Georgia Gold Dome as the backdrop. At the Capitol the students got an inside view of the Georgia Senate and House Chambers and were lucky enough to meet with both Senator Shawn Still and Representative Michelle Au. It was a long day, but a very interesting overview of the Georgia State and County government.
